The Scottish FA has today announced new guidelines for heading in training and games.
We are fully supportive of their recommendations, which are very similar to those which we issued to our members in October. There is therefore fundamentally no change in terms of what is expected of coaches under the SYFA’s jurisdiction, however the attached guidelines and FAQs produced by the Scottish FA provide useful details in terms of implementation.
The guidelines will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and we will continue to work closely with the Scottish FA on this matter.
