4-4-2 READING CHALLENGE

11/09/2019

East Fife CFC in partnership with East Fife FC and the SPFL trust are supporting the 4-4-2 Reading challenge.

How it Works:

1. Visit your local library

2. Take out and read 4 books (you don't have to take 4 at the same time)

3 Get your challenge card stamped at the library after reading each book

4. Exchange a completed challenge card for a free child's ticket and 20% of an adult's ticket at Locality Hub Bayview for an East Fife home game.

5. Once you have exchanged your card you can start again.

Reading and writing are the most important factors in reducing the attainment gap, improving mental health and influencing people's work and relationships.

Children who are read to every day by their parents and carers have shown to be almost 12 months ahead of their age group by the time they start school.

Reading for just 6 minutes can reduce stress by 68%.

Reading is linked to preventing and slowing the onset of dementia.

There are lots of reasons read or to read to your kids, so pop along to your local library, pick up a book and a challenge card and get reading.
