Well, 2020 has almost been completed.
The community team have done so much this year and we cannot wait for it all to begin and be even bigger next year.
What we have done in 2020?
SCHOOLS
We had over 220 kids attend our afterschool’s programme on a weekly basis before lockdown, after lockdown we brought the afterschool’s down to Bayview. We were also involved in breakfast clubs and lunchtime clubs in the local area.
School of football at Levenmouth now has 4 groups running during the school timetable.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
We have 150 kids doing that extra session a week, either through Creative Player or PDP, massive effort and some behaviours and habits are changing.
FITNESS AND WELLBEING
We ran a Football Fans in Training programme and will be looking to do another one at the end of Feb. We also started a fitness boot camp which we have seen several people attend with some personal stories from it are heart-warming. Our mental wellbeing class Game Time Talk Time has been running and has been a massive success.
CAMPS
We have continued to run camps through holidays and had our first GoFitba camp this year. So many more ideas to come in 2021.
KIDS FOOTBALL
We have been running the McDonald’s programme which was a great success, however we will be looking to start up play with your mates again in 2021.
Mini kickers were changed into teams and we managed to start our 2015s and 2016s age groups.

YOUNG LEADERS
The young leaders programme is very new and very exciting, we have 5 kids who have shown a great passion, willingness to learn and be good role models. Since starting this there has been quite a lot of interest, we will look at this at some point in 2021.
FESTIVE FRIENDS
We helped deliver food hampers to some residents in the community.
ADULTS FOOTBALL
Men’s and woman's recreational football was a massive success with many of the classes sold out. However, restrictions did not allow us to do it as often as we liked. Our walking football team had started and new strips for them have arrived.
TEAM SESSIONS
We have helped deliver sessions to any team who have asked for a bit of help this year.
NEXT YEAR
We have started the foundations of some new classes and will be published end of January for all to see. EXCITING TIMES
I would like to thank all the parents and carers for bringing the children and yourself along during 2020 as it was very challenging for most. We have managed to form a great team in the community side and many thanks go out to them all. Some might be more seen than others, but these people have dedicated their time to the community team for it to grow and allowed us to put classes on before during and after lockdown.
