Today we have received better news than what was issued yesterday by the First Minister.
We can now prepare to offer formal training in groups of 10 kids. (there are no restrictions on households).
We plan to make a full return from Monday 20th July. This will include group training, camps, and performance training. (Not necessarily all in the one day).
The purpose of this phase of return is to get as many kids back to football as possible for some light fun training. There are no scheduled games, matches or competitions.
For some teams – group training may look a bit different. It may be that in order to get as many kids back as possible to have some fun, that teams within the same age group may join together to make groups. (For example, if an age group has 23 kids, they may make 2 groups of 8 and a group of 7 to ensure everyone can be included in the return.)
What we need to do before the 20th July
An email has been sent to all age groups asking how many groups will require. (This will be different for each age group) – This will allow us to set out a training plan which will allow all groups to have a training night. We need to ensure that there is enough space for everyone to train whilst ensuring that there is space between groups, time for cleaning in between groups and the car park is not overly busy.
Over the next few days there will be updates being sent out to parents via MCH. This will include updated code of conducts and new Covid declarations. Parents will be required to acknowledge these on MCH before returning to training.
We must ensure that all our volunteers are aware of the training and cleaning regimes.
There will be new signage put up at Bayview. There will be Parent, player, and coach’s information sheets.
Please keep an eye on MCH and our Facebook pages for updates and we will get these out as fast as we can.
For our Adults – a little good news, but not as free as the kids. Adults can now train but must remain 2m apart and are only allowed 5 households in a group. This still makes it very difficult for us at the moment to organise Adult training.
Camps will be available to book online on a ticket basis – again watch the website and MCH for details.
We are looking forward to seeing you all back soon – only 1 week to go. Thank you for your continued patience.
