TRAINING UPDATE

05/07/2020

As we are coming to the end of Phase 2 - A little update on training.

Currently as it stands we have been given a provisional date of 13th July from First Minister, but with restrictions  (Only 3 households in a group – This equates to 3 kids and one coach, only if the coach is from the same household as one of the kids).  The date has not been confirmed and we have been advised that more information will be issued this week.

Until we get further guidance with an increase in group numbers, we cannot accommodate team training.  Once further guidance is received, we will work fast to try to put something in place as soon as possible. Major updates usually come on a Thursday and with this in mind even if new guidance is received it will be highly unlikely everything will be in place 4 days later.

There will be a lot of considerations to put in place, including space allocation, time slots, registers for groups for tracing, risk assessments, first aid etc.

We are working on getting Bayview ready, but until we speak with the council regarding other facilities, we will be limited to training areas that have toilets/facilities.  We have a facilities meeting on Tuesday with Sports Scotland to get more info on what must be put in place.

We are also waiting on templates from SFA which will be added to MCH for parents to complete declarations.

We as much as you would like to get things moving again quickly and the guidance is changing on a daily basis, but I ask that you be patient while we put everything in place that is required to keep your kids as safe as possible.

We have still had no update with regards to adult community groups, again as soon as we hear anything we will let you know.

Please ensure you have the MCH APP downloaded.  When anything is posted you will get a notification direct to your device.
